Thanks so much for volunteering to collect signatures for Yes to Natural Areas – the citizen initiative to continue the funding for our Fort Collins Natural Areas program!
Campaign Kickoff
This Thursday, May 8, is the campaign kick-off! Please join us anytime between 4:30 and 7 pm on Thursday at Intersect Brewing. (Intersect is in the northwest corner of the Safeway parking lot at Taft Hill and Drake.)
We will be giving out petition sections and everything else you need to get started collecting signatures. If you can’t make this time, please let us know, and we can figure out how to get you petition materials.
We only have 2 short months to collect enough valid signatures (5,079) to get on the November ballot so the sooner we all start collecting, the more likely we will be to get on the ballot!
In the meantime, there are several things you can do to prepare:

1. Watch the training video for collecting signatures. It’s only 11 minutes long, and it gives vital information about gathering valid signatures.

2. Sign up to collect signatures at popular Fort Collins events (e.g., Farmer’s Markets) using the link below. We will be adding events throughout the petition signature gathering period (May 8 – July 8) so please check back there often. Please email me if you have events that are not currently listed but that would make great places to get lots of signatures.
You are also welcome to collect other places – the more places we are, the more people we see. Let us know where you will be and when you will be there, and we will get word out on the website and social media.
